Chrysler laid the old Town & Country minivan to rest last year, after years of solid performance. But it was feeling a little dated. Now Chrysler is back in the minivan game with the all-new 2017 Pacifica. Marty Padgett, auto writer for The Car Connection, is a fan of the Pacifica's striking new styling and state-of-the-art plug--in hybrid technology. Click "play" in the video clip below to watch the full report.
The Pacifica lineup includes the LX, Touring, Touring-L, Touring-L Plus, and Limited models. A plug-in hybrid model will arrive by the end of the year. All versions, for now, are powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 that turns out 287 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. The heavily revamped six is lighter and more efficient, and it's now teamed to a 9-speed automatic transmission, with stop/start that saves fuel in city driving.
